The first service that was provided was the XiT song identification system. This system allows you to identify any song currently playing in your location by dialing XIT-222-SONG(948-222-4664); an automated Message from Michael Andrews will ask you to let him hear the song. You will then receive a text message providing the name of the song and the artist. If signed up to XiT Premium, you'll also receive an e-mail titled New Song From XiT with the name of the song, artist, album cover and title, give you a link to iTunes, and will save the song in a XiT Player to give you a preview.
